Glass Houses by Santambrogio Milano.
Located in Milan, Italy, far away from the city, the Glass House aims for transparency, it becomes a little bit invisible if you look it in the panoramic. The Glass House doesn’t interfere in the landscape, merging with the background, merging with the weather, it makes harmony with nature.
The interior is visible by the outside and all angles. But if you want privacy, it can be a problem, although, its location allows the privacy you might wish.
Its interior doesn’t need decorations, because you can find it outside, in other words, the minimal interior combines perfectly, all the furnitures are made by glass, and the colors of the utensils don’t change to black, white and grey, neutral colors. Neutral colors as the house.
It can be considered an art project, because it awakes feelings, different feelings, allowing you to interact with the nature, by the inside to outside. Where you can comteplate nature, the rain, the snow etc., like a living artwork.
“The woodland house rests on land with the scent of sun and rain. It erects the development of its transparencies till it looks onto the tops of the branches of ancient trees. The house on the sea lives the landscape. It bears witness to the succession of natural phenomena, responsive to their contrasts, reflecting and integrating into its transparencies the anger and peace of the elements.”
call it childish, but on all moments that i see numbers repeating, or in a pattern, i do indeed make a wish, and today is no exception.
